Positions Available

Housekeeping Room Attendant

A leading Muskoka Resort located in the heart of the world-famous Muskoka Lake district is looking for Housekeeping Room Attendants.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Performs cleaning duties in all guest areas and back of house.
  • Consistently offers professional, friendly, and engaging service.
  • Ensures housekeeping departmental standards are followed.
  • Responds timely to guests’ special requests for miscellaneous items like cribs, cots, extra towels, etc.
  • Maintains inventory of necessary supplies.
  • Reports necessary maintenance items.
  • Follows departmental policies and procedures.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
  • Assists in the laundry room as required.

Reporting to the Dining Room Manager, Dining Room Servers are responsible for providing exceptional service during Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner services. Dining Room Servers will prepare the set-up and cleanup of the dining room for all meal services for our guests.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure tables are set up properly for every meal
  • Relay orders to the kitchen and bar
  • Clear used dishes and glassware regularly during meal service
  • Knowledge of food, daily menus and bar menus
  • Maintain a clean and clear workspace at all times

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Ability to work cohesively in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Smart-Serve Certification
  • Serving experience is an asset but not essential
Reporting to the Resort Maintenance Manager, Resort Maintenance/ Groundskeepers are responsible for maintaining general tidiness of resort grounds and ensuring maintenance requests are being handled in a timely manner.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Daily opening and closing of the pool and hot tub, along with daily cleaning
  • Daily raking of the beach and seaweed cleanup
  • Watering gardens and flowers around the resort property
  • Lawn care
  • General maintenance requests that come through daily
  • Heavy lifting may be required

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be self-starters, and be able to work at a diligent pace in order to complete the tasks assigned.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work cohesively as a team and on your own
  • Prior experience is a plus, but not essential
Reporting to the Executive Chef, Dishwashers are responsible for cleaning all kitchen and dining room dishware and cookware. The dishwasher will be responsible for maintaining organization and cleanliness of dishware storage areas and ensuring all items are returned to the proper storage area.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes are clean using manual and machine cleaning methods
  • Ensuring cleanliness and sanitization of the dishwashing area and storage areas
  • Returning dishes to their proper storage areas upon cleaning

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work at a diligent pace in order to complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to work cohesively in a team environment
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
Reporting to the Operations Manager, Kids Club Attendants will be responsible for hosting daily resort activities and ensuring safety of all children attending activities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Interactive supervision of children 3 to 12 years of age
  • Leading games, arts & crafts, sports, and other daily activities
  • Keeping children engaged in activities

Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Outgoing personality
  • Experience working with children
  • Ability to work cohesively in a team environment
Reporting to the Executive Chef, Line/Prep Cooks are responsible for assembly, cooking, plating, and garnishing of all food products according to the Executive Chef’s standards.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and knife skills
  • Ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner
  • Ensuring food quality standards by maintaining high levels of cleanliness and sanitation within the kitchen

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Reporting to our Guest Experience Manager, Front Desk Agents provide our guests with their first impression of Severn Lodge.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Checking guests in and out
  • Providing information about the resort and surrounding areas
  • Answering telephone inquiries and taking reservations
  • Servicing guests in the gift shop

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work cohesively in a team environment
  • High levels of organization
  • Outgoing personality
Reporting to the Operations Manager, Waterfront Attendants are responsible for maintaining Waterfront rentals and waterfront safety.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Signing in and out watercraft (motorized and non-motorized)
  • Fueling motorized equipment
  • Inspecting all equipment and maintaining safety of all equipment
  • Monitoring waterfront in order to assure all patrons are enjoying water related activities safely

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Pleasure Craft Operator Card and prior boating experience
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification
  • NLS lifeguard certification would be an asset
Reporting to the Operations Manager, Bartenders will be responsible for maintaining the bar area and liquor inventory.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the liquor and pop inventory
  • Balancing float at the end of the shift
  • Prepare beverages in accordance with high-quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area

Qualifications:

  • Smart Serve Certificate
  • Knowledge of mixology
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work cohesively in a team environment
  • Outgoing and friendly personality
Reporting to the Operations Manager, Waterfront Lifeguards are responsible for maintaining and ensuring waterfront safety.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Supervising swimmers
  • Spotting hazards and preventing accidents
  • Advising on water safety

Qualifications:

  • NLS lifeguard certification
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Pleasure Craft Operator Card and prior boating experience an asset
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification
